I'm Baaaaaaacckk!!!

TGIF!!! This has been the longest damn workweek ever lol. I went out of town Sunday evening and just finally got home last night. Jeez.

I have tried to be good all week, mostly succeeded. Only one night I really wished I had not had a bit too much happy hour white zin that made me feel like crap all the next day. Weight this morning - 167. Well, at least it's not up any more, but I am still at the same level. Rats. I did several days of treadmill while I was gone and really tried to watch the intake. Oh, well. Could be worse.

I have been re-reading Dr. Batman's (Dr. F. Batmanghelidj) Water for Health, for healing, for Life: You're Not Sick, You're Thirsty!. I read his book Your Body's Many Cries for Water (which is a similar book) some 5-6 years ago, and thought it made sense, but evidently I wasn't ready to give it a real try. It really resonated with me and I am resolving to give it a good try. One thing he says in the book about insomnia resonated with me - I have had that problem for a long time, which has partially resolved, but not fully. So - the basic thing is to take your weight in pounds and drink half that amount in ounces every day (which is about 83 ounces for me currently) - and to each 16 ounces add 1/8 teaspoon of sea salt. Ya gotta read the book, I won't go into the many pages explaining it all here - it's a good read IMHO. And if you have insomnia, before going to bed, put a pinch of salt on your tongue and let it sit there a bit before swallowing. I tried it the last two nights. The first night I slept at least 6 hours before waking (no Ambien, either!). Last night, not only did I sleep pretty well, I actually recall having not one but two dreams! :-O I simply don't dream much, usually. I just finished a 16.9 ounce water with my sea salt. And I will do the salt/water later, too. If nothing else, it can't hurt, right? And according to him has the potential to help with blood pressure issues, blood sugar issues, weight loss and tinnitus, all near and dear to my heart. And much more. Even Alzheimer's, which my father supposedly had. I say supposedly, because it was never verified. But anything I can do to keep that from happening, is a great idea to me!

I have to go for now - later!
